ADVANCED ART STUDENT EXHIBITION

April 17 - 24, 2012

Advanced Art students from four local high schools exhibit their works side by side, creating a unique collective display.

The free opening reception will be on Tuesday, April 17, 6:30 - 8:00pm.

Following the positive reception of last year’s Pelham Memorial High School Student Exhibition, Pelham Art Center is proud to present an expanded high school student show in 2012. The exhibition will feature artwork by students in advanced art classes from four local high schools: Bronxville High School, Mount Vernon High School, New Rochelle High School, and Pelham Memorial High School. Each student will submit a single work from his or her portfolio. Up to 60 works in a variety of media will be shown. For many of the artists, this exhibition will be the first time they show their works in public, and Pelham Art Center is delighted to be a part of it.

These advanced art courses are designed for upper level high school students who are interested in pursuing art with added intensity. Many are preparing art portfolios as part of their applications to college.

The Advanced Art Student Exhibition will be on view for one week, April 17-24, 2012. The opening reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
