ASSEMBLAGE AND 3D ART

ASSEMBLAGE AND 3D ART
Ages 11-14

Create sculpture using foam core, corrugated cardboard, self-hardening clay, photos, wire, string, ribbon, buttons, and found materials including screening, packing material, and any desired personal objects. Students will learn construction techniques of cutting, folding, modeling, painting, combining, and arranging the assorted materials using various adhesives including PVA glue and glue guns. 

 

***Students should bring a shoe box, and any small items they wish to include in their Diorama.

Get ready for a hands-on creative learning experience. This course is an introduction to hand building in which students will use the extruder and slab roller to create unique works of art. In addition, they will gain basic knowledge of the ceramic process including glazing and firing. Older students will get the opportunity to experiment with the pottery wheel. The pottery wheel is traditionally used to create cups, bowls, and much more! This is a great class for your curious child to have fun, get their hands dirty and explore with a versatile material.

Explore collage by combining favorite photos, drawings, wrappers, mementos, papers, stamps, found objects and any other 2D materials of choice. Students will learn techniques of tearing, gluing, rubbing, antiquing, layering, smudging, rubber stamping, and photo transfer. Projects will be one-of-a-kind art pieces combining assorted images and materials with text, using both familiar and new techniques.

INTO THE WOODS WEEK

INTO THE WOODS WEEK
Ages 3-5

Your child will explore the theme of "Into the Woods" " in both art making and movement activities all week! The week will feature extraordinary art projects, led by teaching artist Donna Ross, and yoga instructor Nathalie Voelker who will lead campers in art-inspired yoga movement and games that exercise social, sensory, and motor skills while increasing flexibility. 

Each day, groups of no more than 15 students make unique and exciting art together and individually. Students work with all types of art media; including clay, paint, mixed media, movement, acting, and storytelling! Snacks are provided. If you do send a snack, do not send your child with peanut or tree nut products. We have campers with nut allergies. 

Doors open for camp at 8:50am each day. Please plan accordingly.

Study techniques for creating volume, space, light, color, composition, and concept to expand your artistic abilities. TADA! is dedicated to providing students the opportunity to explore and perform in an educational, supportive, and professional environment. TRAVEL THE WORLD  - FULL DAY CAMP

TRAVEL THE WORLD - FULL DAY CAMP
Ages 3-7

Adventures abound! Explore cultures and exotic locales by making fun and creative art, and through storytelling and movement!

Morning campers can experiment with all kinds of different art media to recreate a deep sea world, then create stories and movement to the theme. 

Afternoon campers will plan and create their own story inspired by the theme, and craft their own props, sets and costumes, culminating in a live performance on Friday! 

Snacks are provided in morning and afternoon sessions. For full day campers, there is a supervised lunch break from 1:00PM - 1:30PM. Students must bring their own lunch. Please DO NOT send peanut or tree nut products for snacks or lunch. Some campers have severe nut allergies.

ZOO ADVENTURE WEEK

ZOO ADVENTURE WEEK
Ages 3-8

Your child will explore the theme of "Zoo Adventures" " in both art making and movement activities all week! The week will feature extraordinary art projects, led by teaching artist Donna Ross, and yoga instructor Nathalie Voelker who will lead campers in art-inspired yoga movement and games that exercise social, sensory, and motor skills while increasing flexibility. 

Each day, groups of no more than 15 students make unique and exciting art together and individually. Students work with all types of art media; including clay, paint, mixed media, movement, acting, and storytelling! Snacks are provided. If you do send a snack, do not send your child with peanut or tree nut products. We have campers with nut allergies. 

Doors open for camp at 8:50am each day. Please plan accordingly.
